A senior living center in southern Indiana had some special visitors Wednesday. American Senior Communities arranged to have a horse and pony come by Salem Crossing. The horses are normally used at events for kids to ride. But, the health care provider let these residents connect with the animals. “When I come up to the window and these residents light up and they roll up to the window, they walk up to the window and they start petting the horse virtually. It is a blessing and it brings tears to my eyes,” said Wess Jackson with American Senior Communities.

ASC plans to bring the horses by dozens of other senior living facilities.
