American Senior Communities, the largest provider of senior healthcare in Indiana, added Dr. Theressa J. Wright M.D to the ASC Board of Directors during 2021. Dr. Wright, a cardiologist, and an Indianapolis native has spent much of her professional career with Lilly Research Laboratories, a division of Eli Lilly & Company, focusing on Global Patient Safety, Global Product Safety and serving as Chair of various advisory committees related to research and product development. Having retired from her role with Lilly Research Laboratories in 2017, Dr. Wright has continued as a faculty member and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.
Dr. Wright feels that the future trend for healthcare, especially long-term care, requires all to look differently at the elderly population and how we can serve them. “In optimizing their care, adopting a servant’s mind-set will benefit all of us, we have so much to learn from this population. We need to realize the privilege we have in connecting with this generation and in ensuring these residents feel valued. My goal is to assist in providing optimal medical care and quality of service to ASC’s residents and my prayer is that I’ll be worthy of this service.”
Having begun her tenure on ASC’s nine-member Board of Directors in 2021, Dr. Wright offers a unique perspective, gleaned from her long and distinguished career in science and healthcare. ASC is proud to have Dr. Wright join in their continuing mission to serve all customers with quality care and excellence. For more information, visit ASCCare.com!
