Administrators in Training Program
At American Senior Communities, we understand that training and developing new leaders is vital to the success of any organization. We believe in growing dynamic leaders who will positively impact the future of long term care and our organization.
Our Administrator-in-Training (AIT) program has been established to provide opportunities to both internal employees as well as external that are seeking a career as a licensed nursing home administrator. During our one-year program, future leaders will receive the training and education required to complete the course while receiving hands on experience.
Free Nurse Aide Training
We take pride in helping individuals achieve their goals and advance their career. Our free Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) classes offer the opportunity to start a career in the rewarding field of nursing in just four weeks. ASC Nurse Aide classes are approved by the Indiana State Department of Health.
We offer two great class options designed for the varying needs of today’s students. In the traditional track option, all lectures and lessons are delivered by an instructor in a classroom setting for the entire course. Busy tech-savvy students may prefer the hybrid option. In the hybrid option, students can take the course utilizing a combination of in-class and online work. The hybrid class students love the convenience of having most of the lessons accessible by a web browser or mobile device, to be accessed anytime and anyplace.
Skills required for the hybrid option include:
• Basic knowledge of computer and internet
• Strong reading and comprehension ability
• Time management
• Being an independent learner and self-motivated
Hybrid students are required to have regular access to high speed internet through a desk top or mobile device. Both the traditional and hybrid class options consist of a minimum of 30 hours of lecture and 75 hours of clinical practicum conducted in an ASC community
