During these times, the American Senior Communities (ASC) team has selflessly been standing strong at the front lines of COVID-19. The dedication to our residents and their family members is a direct reflection of the values that we hold close to our heart. Our team has embodied compassion, accountability, relationships and excellence to ensure that our residents have every ounce of support they need. No matter what is asked of them, our team is ready to stand tall, because at ASC, it’s not just a job, it’s a calling.
That is why Executive Chef Dave Kahn and Director of Nutrition Karen Powell wanted to make sure that our frontline staff had additional support during these times. In addition to supporting our residents with a customized dining experience that accommodates social distancing, the ASC Culinary Team came together to support their ASC family by providing over 18,000 grab and go meals a week.
In addition to our internal support, the ASC Culinary Team reached out to local food chains including McAlister’s Deli and Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews. Both companies assisted in delivering 10,000 meals a week for four weeks for the ASC frontline staff.
As we continue to support our heroes, we are thankful for the support of our community as we continue to fight to flatten the curve.
