Todd-Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation, a member of American Senior Communities, has been recognized as a 2026 recipient of the Gold – Excellence in Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). The Gold award is the final step in three progressive levels through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which recognizes providers achieving the highest standards of performance excellence in quality care.
AHCA/NCAL made the official announcement in a press release on August 6th. Todd-Dickey Nursing & Rehabilitation was one of only two providers nationwide to receive the prestigious Gold award level this year, making this the very first, and to date the only Gold award recipient in the state of Indiana.

Earning the Gold – Excellence in Quality Award requires a facility to achieve both the Bronze -Commitment to Quality and Silver – Achievement in Quality Awards before advancing to the Gold level; an accomplishment that takes several years. Applicants adhere to the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, an organizational improvement tool that focuses on assessing and refining systems to drive continuous quality improvement.

This year, the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program proudly celebrates its 30th anniversary. Since its establishment in 1996, more than 8,000 providers across the country have participated in the rigorous, Baldrige-based program to strengthen their operations, improve outcomes, and enhance the lives of residents and staff. This milestone anniversary highlights the program’s lasting impact on advancing quality care throughout the long term care profession.
