A deficiency-free, or “perfect” survey is a rare achievement in healthcare communities. Seven communities operated by American Senior Communities (ASC) have received a deficiency-free annual state inspection for 2021, a stellar feat! A perfect, deficiency-free rating is the best state survey score a senior healthcare community can receive.
As part of annual inspection, the Indiana State Board of Health inspects such communities to assess compliance with state standards of care, such as adequacy of staffing, quality of care and cleanliness of the community. These communities offer a variety of lifestyle and care options including assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, hospice and respite.
Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence are the core values for American Senior Communities. “These words not only form the acronym CARE, they are guiding principles that lead us every day as we serve a very special generation,” said ASC’s Chief Operating Officer, David Stordy.
According to Stordy, the communities included in this elite group would not have been capable of this achievement without the dedication of their employees. “We are so proud of and grateful to our teams for living out these values in an exceptional way,” Stordy said. “Without these team’s high level of dedication and commitment, a deficiency-free survey would not be possible.”
The ASC communities that received this special distinction include:
Canterbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
Markle Health and Rehabilitation
Summit City Nursing and Rehabilitation
Waters Edge Village
