LAFAYETTE, IN — Aster Place, an upscale senior living community in Lafayette, has been named Assisted Living Community of the Year by the Indiana Health Care Association/Indiana Center for Assisted Living, organizations which represent senior living and nursing communities statewide.
Aster Place, which is located at 741 Park East Blvd., was selected by senior communities statewide and the IHCA/INCAL and was lauded for its superior care and service. The community has won other awards for its quality care since it opened in 2015.
The community is operated by American Senior Communities, which operates about 90 senior health and living communities throughout Indiana and in Louisville, Ky.
ASC officials praised the community for receiving the award. “At Aster Place, our residents are our priority and it shows everyday in how we deliver services and care to the seniors who call Aster Place home,” said Chris Kelley, vice president of Senior Living at American Senior Communities. “We are so happy that our peers recognize that we put residents first, but without the passionate care provided by our staff, this would not be possible.”
Aster Place includes one-bedroom and two-bedroom Garden Homes with garages, Signature Suites independent living apartments, and Assisted Living apartments with a variety of floor plan options. The community also offers an innovative memory care neighborhood, offering a person-centered approach to meeting the needs of those with early-to-middle stages of dementia.
The winners of the 2018 Senior Living Awards will be officially recognized at IHCA/INCAL’s upcoming Convention and Expo on Wednesday, August 1 at the JW Marriott, Indianapolis, where more than 350 Indiana nurses, nursing assistants, health facility administrators, clinical staff and others working in long-term care and assisted living centers across the state will be in attendance.
“We’re pleased to recognize these organizations for their outstanding efforts to enhance resident experiences,” said IHCA/INCAL President Zach Cattell. “From making new advancements in clinical outcomes to delivering exceptional care to those they serve everyday, these organizations exemplify performance excellence and their contribution to their residents is commendable.”
