Heritage Park is celebrating resident Eileen Weber as she turns 101 with a party in her honor on Monday, June 19th.

Eileen Weber was born and raised in Fort Wayne. She was married for many years and had three children. One of her most interesting accomplishments was singing on a Chicago radio station with her singing group, The Three Shades. The singing group was part of a long-running morning variety show called The Breakfast Club, hosted by national radio personality Don McNeil on NBC Blue Network/ABC Radio in Chicago.

Eileen is a proud grandmother and loves to talk about her family, especially her wonderful children. She has always enjoyed socializing and loves talking about the past and how different things are now. She is very fond of her aide Jessica at Heritage Park, and enjoys playing bingo. Eileen says that the secret to her longevity is because she “always listened to her parents” and because she takes good care of herself, taking her vitamins and not drinking or smoking.
