This year we celebrate National Assisted Living Week on September 12-18, 2021. Established by the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) in 1995, National Assisted Living Week® provides a unique opportunity for residents, their loved ones, staff, volunteers, and the surrounding communities to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors. The annual observance encourages assisted living communities around the country to offer a variety of events and activities to celebrate the individuals they serve, as well as to help educate members of the public about this distinctive aspect of Senior Living.
This year’s theme is “Compassion, Community, and Caring.” This allows us recognizes the compassion every community brings to the residents of American Senior Communities, as well as the impact they’ve made in the midst of so many unknowns during the past year.
While our residents engage daily through our THRIVE Wellness program, we look forward to providing even more opportunities for our residents as we celebrate this special week. Led by our THRIVE Lifestyle Coordinators, our Senior Living communities will host a variety of activities to celebrate our team members and residents by coordinating fun games, delicious treats, themed days and even t-shirts to recognize the compassion and care found within our communities.
