A deficiency-free rating is the highest rating a senior community can receive from annual surveys conducted by the Indiana State Department of Health, and only a small percentage of communities achieve this distinction in any given survey year. Assessment metrics include cleanliness of the community, staffing ratios, and standards and quality of care. A deficiency-free rating means that a community is 100% in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence are the core values for American Senior Communities. “Our CARE values serve as the guiding principles that lead us every day as we serve our residents, families and employees,” said ASC’s CEO, Steve Van Camp. “The honor of a deficiency-free survey is a remarkable accomplishment, one that is attained only when teams are strongly united in their commitment to those guiding principles. Congratulations to our teams for a job well done.”
